"I was in my teens when I left Pay Fong Secondary and had worked for 10 years to gain the necessary business experience. Then, I set up my own business where I obtained projects from main contractors and did the installations. It was challenging because the projects were not consistent. At time, there was a major shortage of labour when we were given a major project," said Mr Tang. That was why Mr Tang restructured his company and changed the business model to distributing of security products to dealers and business partners. "Our marketing strategies include advertising through print media and cold calling. Soon, we will be planning to launch our own website. We got it right by changing the business model where we have a lower profit margin but a larger volume of sales. By providing great quality products and services, we have a healthy repeated sales from our dealers, " he said.
